San Francisco Estuary Climate Ready Estuary Project

 

Project Description:  

Dr. Siegel was an invited member of the 12-person Expert Elicitation Panel convened by the U.S. EPA, San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission, and California State Coastal Conservancy. 

The purpose of this panel was to develop a set of preliminary conceptual models of how climate change would affect ecosystem functions of the tidal wetlands and mudflats of the San Francisco Estuary, and to demonstrate the efficacy of the approach developed by USEPA to begin planning for climate change effects throughout estuaries of the United States. 2010.
